Chatalystar cooperates with valid legal process. This page is the public-facing guide for law-enforcement officers, prosecutors, and counsel. It covers the submission channel, what we preserve and for how long, and our response timelines. An internal SOP backs this guidance for our operators.
For a credible, imminent risk to life or of serious bodily injury, email le@chatalystar.com with the subject line EMERGENCY DISCLOSURE REQUEST. The inbox is auto-acknowledged within 2 hours, 24/7. State the nature of the emergency, the user account or content URL, the data category needed, and a callback number for verification.
Email le@chatalystar.com from an official government, agency, or law-firm domain. Personal email addresses are routed to the public-report queue and significantly delay processing.
For service of physical process or subpoenas requiring registered-agent delivery, contact le@chatalystar.com in advance and we will provide the registered-agent address for Chatalystar Inc. We do not accept service via direct messages, social media, or general support channels.
Acknowledgment
Automated acknowledgment with tracking reference within 2 hours, 24 hours / 7 days a week. The acknowledgment confirms receipt only and is not a substantive response.
Preservation requests
Acted on within 24 hours of receipt of a properly formed request. Default preservation window is 90 days, extendable in 90-day increments on request.
Subpoenas / production orders
Substantive response within the deadline stated on the face of the process, or within 21 calendar days, whichever is later. Counsel will reach out earlier if scope clarification is needed.
Emergency disclosure
Triaged immediately on receipt. Substantive engagement target is 1 hour from acknowledgment for credible imminent-risk requests.
Chatalystar retains the following categories of data on the timelines below. A timely preservation request can extend retention beyond these windows. Records that exist on the date a preservation request is acknowledged will not be retroactively deleted while the preservation is in force.
| Data category | Retention window | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Account registration data | Lifetime of the account + 90 days after closure | Username, email, account-creation timestamp, registration IP, account-status history. |
| Login / session metadata | 180 days rolling | Session start / end timestamps, source IP, user-agent string, failed-login attempts. |
| Veriff identity verification (creators) | Lifetime of the creator account + statutory § 2257 retention window | Verification result, document type, redacted identity attributes, verification timestamp. Original identity documents are not stored on Chatalystar infrastructure beyond the Veriff session per their DPA. |
| Vault session attestations & upload chain-of-custody | Lifetime of the underlying content + 7 years | EIP-712 typed-payload signature, wallet address, content hash, HMAC chain entry, upload timestamp, EXIF metadata. Tamper-evident; auditable. |
| Direct messages & chat content | Lifetime of the account or until user-initiated deletion | Subject to user-initiated deletion under our Privacy Policy. Preservation requests freeze deletion for the duration of the preservation window. |
| Payment & payout records | 7 years (KYC / AML / tax obligation) | Transaction id, amount, counterparty, timestamp. Card primary account numbers are tokenised by the processor; we do not retain raw PANs. |
| Triage queue & moderation history | Lifetime of the related content + 2 years | Tracking reference, action history, operator id, decision outcome, evidence snapshots. |
| Sightengine moderation results | Lifetime of the underlying content | Per-upload classifier scores, flags, model version, timestamp. |
Retention windows reflect Chatalystar's standing operating practice and may be shortened where required by GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable law. Statutory recordkeeping obligations (notably 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and AML / KYC) override shorter windows where applicable.
For policy or process questions that are not tied to a specific investigation — DSA / AVMSD / OSA implementation, transparency-report queries, CSAM hash-matching cooperation, or government-affairs outreach — please use trust@chatalystar.com instead. Our systemic-risk assessment and Trust & Safety overview are the canonical references for the platform's posture.
