The Adult Platform Audit is maintained by Jennifer Steele Mondello, a former adult entertainer (1998-2009) and author of Adult Agency: A Memoir. Mondello spent a decade in the adult entertainment industry, becoming the World Exotic Fire Champion and earning recognition as one of the industry's most innovative performers.

More importantly, she's been an outspoken victim-witness and advocate since 1997, when she was attacked by adult-star Ron Jeremy.

Today, Mondello directs her expertise toward creator protection. She develops the Sturdy Stairs Scene Survey—a non-profit project promoting informed consent culture for adult entertainers.

The Adult Platform Audit is an extension of this work which evaluates platforms not on profitability or user count, but on whether creators retain practical control over their business, money, and labor.
